Nancy
Barr Brandon has been a professional entertainment photographer since
1962, and has shot some of the greatest stars of our time.
She has also done personal photography for such celebrities as
Dolly Parton, Judy Garland, Liza Minnelli and Brook Shields.
Nancy’s photos can be seen in many national magazines, souvenir
programs and published biographies.
Nancy
first photographed Bette during her “Clams On The Half Shell Revue”
in 1975, including the after show party where she snapped a memorable shot of Bette with her mother Ruth.
Subsequently she became a fan and followed Bette throughout the
70's and early 80's, photographing her at every chance she got. Nancy
had the privilege to attend and photograph the
legendary concert filming for “The Rose,” her television special
"Ol' Red Hair Is Back," and the of filming for
“Divine Madness.”
In recent years, Nancy founded and still runs the Cat Assistance Network
Incorporation, which is a nonprofit organization located in Monmouth
County, New Jersey. Nancy
and her dedicated team of volunteers work very hard to rescue sick,
abandoned and feral cats and kittens from surroundings areas and provide
them with shelter and care.
Nancy currently sells her photographs and memorabilia through mail-order
and ebay to help fund her animal rescue foundation.
Her archives include 1000's of different stars, including an
impressive collection of Bette Midler photos from 1975-1983. Nancy is also
working on a charity book featuring celebrity
drawings.
