This website is dedicated to the one and only Bette Midler, more affectionately known as The Divine Miss M. But unlike many websites dedicated to
Bette Midler, this site is a tribute to a part of Bette's career that rarely gets the attention it deserves . . . Bette's early stage career.
Back in 1973 many critics hailed Bette Midler as the brightest new star of the year.
And throughout the following ten years Bette became a concert legend, a performer you’d be crazy to miss if she was playing
near your town. Her uncanny wit, eccentric improprieties, and her self-described "trash with flash, sleaze with ease" persona won over audiences everywhere,
and her non-stop energy and emotional song interpretations kept audiences mesmerized and begging for more.
From her humble beginnings in sleazy night clubs and her infamous stint at the
infamous "Continental Baths," all the way to record-breaking Broadway engagements
and sold out major cross country tours - this page covers it all.
So do allow yourself some time to sit back and take a sentimental journey back
in time to experience . . . Bette on the Boards.
For your personal enjoyment we have some vintage recordings from Bette's
early onstage career, which undoubtedly display the power and versatility that
Bette had as a performer. The audio quality of
these performances range from good to mediocre, but they truly capture the
breathtaking talent of all performers who were
part of these amazing
shows. All materials are presented for entertainment
/ educational purposes. Please feel free to leave any
comments further below on this page.

PEACE SUNDAY REQUEST
Does anybody have a video copy of the 1982 Peace Sunday Anti
Nuke show held at the Rose Bowl?
I'm looking for just Bette's segment. Somebody posted a clip of
it on YouTube awhile back, but it's
since been removed. Would really love to find a copy of
this.
